After we leave the road we trek across Great Hograh Moor before emerging at some woodland near Baysdale Abbey. Our route then returns us to Hob Hole via a well-used bridleway which runs above Baysdale Beck.

This walk can be lengthened to 16km by linking with Walk 5840 at Waymark 02 to cover Westerdale, before returning to Waymark 02 and heading west across Hograh Moor.

Done walk in May, a very good walk easy to follow with varied scenery, though we are quite experienced walkers, I wouldn’t class it as an easy walk for beginners.
