The route is along tracks, including the long distance path, Peddars Way and country lanes and starts at the rural village of Great Massingham, with its large ponds and greens. This village is quiet now, but during the last war a vital airbase was built here.

A lovely walk around the Massingham's. It was amazing to stand at the edge of the runway where so many of our WWII heroes took off in our defense, I shut my eyes for a moment trying to imagine how those young men and women must have felt. I for one will be eternally grateful. The walk itself was pretty straightforward, no problems with any of the directions.
