A circular walk around the lovely village of Greenhead, visiting the ruins of a 14th Century castle and the site of a renovated section of Hadrian's Wall and Roman turret remains. Takes in two National Trails: the Pennine Way and Hadrian's Wall Path. You will have an opportunity to visit a National Park Visitors' Centre with specialised trails and the site of a Roman Army Museum. This is an excellent walk for all ages.

Lovely walk enjoyed it especially the first half. The walk was accurately explained. The only thing we didn't like was the cows which of course can't be helped. Thank you.

Parking in the village (Greenhead) is limited. Instead try half a mile up the road at the National Park Wall Town car park MR: NY668659 . £2 all day , and toilets. Follow signs for Roman Museum. (Thanks to whoever sent us this note - unfortunately your name was not recorded.)
