This walk is mainly along country lanes, The walk starts off down a lane and into a wide track that leads onto a narrow walkway through an archway of trees, across a field and across a narrow bridge over the River Salwarpe. From there it leads through a small wood and out onto the Droitwich Canal towpath. A lot of this walk is along quiet Worcestershire lanes and it also features two bridleways, one being part of The Monarch's Way, the escape route taken by King Charles II in 1651 after being defeated in the Battle of Worcester. There are places to stop for a picnic, on the canal towpath and at Porter's Mill, where you can watch the narrowboats navigating the lock.
