This route starts near to Hapton Station in Hapton. It uses several urban roads to reach open countryside and a canal. The route then goes under a motorway and across a railway line (which is crossed twice by level-crossings) to reach some woodland. After walking through the woodland there follows a section along a rural road to reach the village of Huncoat. There is a visit to a war memorial and a peace garden in the village. There is another section through woodland before going through a housing estate to reach a third section of woodland. After going through the woodland the route crosses some fields and a footbridge over the motorway to reach a canal. The canal is followed before crossing a field back to the motorway and reach a footbridge over the motorway and back to the start. Most of the walk follows the Huncoat Trail, which is marked on posts throughout the walk.
