The fact that the start of the walk is fairly high means that it is a relatively easy place from which to reach the moor top. I would not recommend that you do this walk in poor visibility unless you are confident of navigating by compass; the walk is very easy in good weather but will be a testing place if conditions are poor. There is one marshy patch to cross and two streams without bridges; you will have to look for the best place to cross, as this will vary with weather conditions. For such a short walk there are extensive views and it is an exhilarating place to visit.
