This walk is roughly triangular, dropping first into Beresford Dale and Wolfscote Dale going south and then switching into Biggindale, the third leg back to Hartington being mainly on an old track, now a cycle route. The two valleys are deep and dramatic, the first being accompanied by a river while the second is normally dry, although not after the winter of 2013-14! Overall this is a contrasting and varied walk, the first and third sections being very easy going, while Biggindale is rocky and needs some care.

Fab walk on a March day where we had all weathers! Easy to follow route with a good path at times, and a mud bath at others. Point 9 was under water but we picked our way round on the rocks then found a way to navigate along to point 10 and 11. From then on the paths were better and views were stunning. Thank you.
