The ancient village of Hinxton is a pretty one with several thatched and timber framed houses. the route is good and well signed and partly beside the River Cam or Granta. The 16th century Red Lion Inn is an excellent and very popular place to dine, the food is excellent there and there are several choices of real ales.

We done this walk in August 2015. Excellent and interesting short walk, with good clear instructions. Lunch in Red Lion, 100 yards from start point, was very good.
