Enjoyed this walk for the 2nd time on Easter Sunday. For a slight variation, at WP7 (Bicknoller Post) instead of tacking the path back down the coombe (almost doubling back on yourself) turn right and ascend slightly to Longstone Hill for some fabulous views out over the Bristol Channel and beyond. Maintain this direction until you descend to a minor road. Turn right and arrive back at the car park. Sadly no kissing gates but no stiles either!

The carpark in the village is not easy to find as not many signs. We actually had to ask someone. -- Waymark 2 This is a very long stretch before you reach the glade mentioned so can be a bit confusing. -- Waymark 5 the direction is not very clear as there are several grassy tracks that bear off before you reach the one you need. However if you head towards the highest point you can't get lost.

Did this walk on a freezing, sunny morning om 4/1/2009. A very pleasant route with some lovely views. Note that on a weekend the paths on the hills are awash with high speed mountain bikers, many of whom seem to regard walkers as movable obstructions. A local at the end of the walk told me that there are regular collisions and accidents, so keep your wits about you.

A pleasant walk through woods and along the ridge.
