The Cuckoo Trail (CT) is a surfaced walk and bike track along an old railway track dotted with sculptures and designed to encourage wildlife. Rather than do a there and back, I designed a circular walk with the return along the trail. Walk 8771 does much the same thing and can be directly linked to this one. These walk are good in early spring, just as the leaves are coming out, in order to see the prolific woodland edge flowers and the bluebells. The walk is flat and easy but there are a few rickety stiles. There is an easily accessed pub along the way.
