Located only a short distance from the centre of Durham, this is a lovely woodland walk with a wealth of history attached to it. It follows a discovery trail which takes you through the old Houghall Colliery and Estate, with information boards detailing the various areas passed on the walk.
Should you wish a shorter walk there are many options available, as the walk has many loops.
