Our hike begins in the peaceful hamlet of Huelga Utrera beneath a massive walnut tree and we will follow the course
of the Rio Segura some distance above its cascading waters.
We pass through woods and beneath massive cliffs, always climbing steadily. Later we reach more open landscape with fruit trees that tell the story of how life used to be in this region. Our way ends at the massive Cueva del Agua. After exploration we return along the same route, diverting briefly to visit the cascade at Charco del Humo before resuming our return along our outward route, enjoying the different perspective and the easier hiking.
