Hunton is a pretty village, south-east of Maidstone. It is located in an area known as the Weald of Kent. Much of the landscape is arable and the River Beult runs nearby. At the start of the walk you will walk past St Mary's Church, an ancient village church dating from the 13th Century with many later additions. During the month of February, there is a remarkable display of snowdrops in the churchyard, well worth pausing to admire. The walk will take you across sheep pasture, through country lanes and across the Beult. Along the way you will see some lovely examples of converted Kentish Oasts and timbered farmhouses. The route is pleasantly undulating and affords some lovely views of the surrounding countryside.
