This easy and dog friendly walk on the fringes of the North York Moors will reward you between Waymarks 08 and 09 with fine views of the Vale of Pickering, the Wolds and the Moors. Before that we fringe the moors before dropping down to the village of Lastingham, where the Blacksmith's Arms is renowned for its fine food and welcome to walkers. When you return to Hutton-le-Hole there are two tea rooms and ice creams are always available. Parking is available in The Crown Inn Car Park (£3 payable to the pub or Folk Museum) or for a similar amount at the North York Moors National Park Car Park, which is signposted around the corner. The walk is on good paths, tracks and lanes so a good pair of walking-shoes or boots is all that is required. An alternative, slightly longer walk 6115 (6.2 miles) is also available on Walkingworld, should you wish to link up that walk with this one and turn it into a full day's walking.
