Kelvedon has a long history of developing and producing seeds for farmers and gardeners. You pass a soft fruit farm, two water mills, an abbey, an ancient building known as Monk's House and a magnificent huge barn owned and run by the National Trust. One option is also to visit the centre of Coggeshall with a number of antique shops. The stretches beside the river are extremely picturesque. There are gerat views at certain points along the route, making it an ideal family walk. All paths were clear and dry when the walk was submitted (April 2022).
For refreshments The Railway Tavern can be found 100 yards down from the station at the T-junction with the High Street.
