This circular walk starting at the railway station at Kelvedon is mainly a field- and quiet country lane-based walk. Some lovely views are to be had along the route and you also pass through the grounds of two beautiful halls. At certain points you pass over the A12 twice but soon the traffic noise disappears as you return to the peaceful Essex countryside.

Refreshments can be found at The Old Crown in Messing with a 300-yard detour at Waymark 28 and also at The Sun Inn and The Railway Tavern at the end of the walk. There is also a food shop here just before you return to the station.
