This walk is around the ancient town of King's Lynn, walking through the old and new parts. There are many places of interest on the walk. Part of the route is beside the river. King's Lynn was first called Bishop's Lynn in the 13th Century and was then a thriving port. Henry VIIIth had the town renamed 'King's Lynn'.

An excellent walk to see what King's Lynn has to offer. A town of two halves, the beautiful old and in places some very painful 60/70s architecture. Plenty of outlets to eat and drink, we chose Cobbles Tea Room, located as you turn off St Margaret's Lane (Instruction 8), its superb.
