Set in the broad Evenlode valley of rural Oxforshire, the walk passes through three beautiful unspoilt Cotswold villages. It starts from Kingham, a particularly large village, but this by no means dampens its charm, with its large open green, elegant stone and thatch 17th and 18th Century cottages, its fine Norman church, and choice of highly rated pubs.

The walk passes through the Daylesford estate, with many mature trees, and areas of woodland. Look out for the sculpture of a horse's head as you pass through. There is a farm shop linked to the estate, where you will have the opportunity to stop for a wide choice of food and drink. After leaving the estate, an area of woodland will lead to Adlestrop, the next village on the walk. It is a lovely, isolated village with honey coloured cottages. There is no pub, but it is a delightful place to stop for a picnic.

Leaving the village, the walk heads into more parkland, this time in Adlestrop park, which will lead to the third village at Lower Oddington. It is another sleepy village linked to its larger neigbour, Oddington, but the walk veers away before getting this far to head back to Kingham via woodland and the River Evenlode.
