Take the road out of Kingussie across the level-crossing and through the pine trees beside the River Gynack, a tributary of the Spey. Cross the road to the Dell, home of Kingussie Camanachd, currently the all-conquering shinty team. Walk past the shinty pitch to join the bank of the River Spey at one of its quiet stretches, with beautiful wildflowers and lots of birds in season and easy walking throughout. It is suitable for wheelchairs by following the road, though the track to the Dell is likely to require assistance.
