This is a delightful walk, full of atmosphere and wildlife. You get the chance to visit the church at Kirby le Soken and there are two pubs along the way. You will also glimpse Harwich and Felixstowe, 15 miles away whilst walking along the backwater with its own Nature reserve. With a slight detour at Frinton you will get a chance to visit the sea front via the famous Connaught Avenue before returning and resuming the walk.

All the paths were clear (July 2022) apart from a section at the start of waymark 3 which is overgrown with long grass but still passable.

Refreshments can be found at the two pubs between waymarks 14 and 15, The Ship and The Red Lion.
