The walk starts at the tiny Wolds hamlet of Kirmond le Mire before crossing to the even tinier hamlet of Thorpe le Vale. Typical Wolds chalk scenery abounds as we move on to our next stop, the larger settlement of Binbrook, home to a former RAF base, now long gone. In Binbrook, we can refresh ourselves at the Plough Inn, or adjacent tea shop, before returning to Kirmond le Mire via yet another tiny hamlet, Stainton le Vale.

Dog owners, please note the presence of a couple of dog-unfriendly stiles and also cattle en route.
