This simple saunter is one of several walks using the fantastic leisure facility of Kirroughtree, near Newton Stewart in the very heart of Glorious Galloway. Here walks galore in the beautiful surroundings of the Galloway Forest Park are based on and around the Kirroughtree Visitor Centre. Today's route is the shortest by far of the many routes of varying lengths and degrees of difficulty and at scarcely a mile and with several seats, ideal for grandparents or recalcitrant kids alike.
Information for Dog Owners: this little walk is hardly long enough to satisfy a self-respecting canine, given the wealth of other walks in the area, but is suitable for biddable dogs.
