This is the third walk starting and ending at the port of La Savina, which saves day visitors having to hire bikes or scooters or use the limited bus service. The other two walks are numbers 7402 and 7633.
From the port we begin by walking in the Natural Park along the foreshore of the lake Estany de Peix. Later we approach the starkly beautiful headland Punta de ses Pedreras along the rocky coastline. We continue southwards from the headland, passing old quarries to enjoy the starkly lovely coastal scenery as we near the watchtower Torre de La Gavina (see additional information). From here it could be possible to reduce the hike's length (see additional information). This hike continues southwards along the coast to reach the stunningly beautiful little beach cove, Cala Saona. This is the place to enjoy a break and a dip in the crystal-clear waters. From here we shall head back towards La Savina inland, following a series of dirt roads that take us through timeless Formentera countryside with figs, almonds, carobs and grapevines. Finally we meet our outward route and have only to retrace our footsteps to the port.
