Follow the clifftops to see an amazing array of prehistoric and historical tin-mining remains. These include the faint remains of the prehistoric promontory fort of Maen Castle, a former customs house, an old water mill and little mounds that mark long-past tin-streaming activity and holes which mark old mines. In Cot Valley you will also see the traces of leats which carried water to the mines. Soon you will pass Balloworral Barrow, an extensive prehistoric burial chamber.

Finally the walk ends at the Pendeen Watch lighthouse built in 1900. Note that this is a linear walk and you need to use the bus to return to the start.
