This walk, set in East Cornwall, is along one of the more rugged stretches of this coast. However, for the charm and natural beauty of this area it is well worth a visit. After the coastal stretch the walk passes through the picturesque village of Polperro, with its quaint harbour and many other enchanting attractions.
Many people walk from Polperro along the coast path for a short distance before returning, but this little-known circular walk takes you through the fertile Cornish countryside, along country roads, bridleways and footpaths, to join the coast path at East Coombe, where we then follow the coast path with its breathtaking views back to Polperro.
This walk is not for the faint-hearted, with an excess of 600 steps along its route. The coast path section is not much more than 3km, but seems twice that and takes about two hours!!! It is well worth the effort however, for the variety of wildlife (if you are lucky you may see a deer) and scenic views.
