The walk makes an almost complete circuit of Langsett reservoir, starting from the Visitor Centre on the A628. It then uses permitted paths and tracks to reach a disused railway line built for the purpose of bringing material for the construction of the reservoir. A few fields lead directly to the café and pub in the village, a short distance from the car park. The terrain is almost all on tracks and there are few stiles for a walk of his length that covers a variety of terrain with wide views from the highest point.

Did this walk on 10/09/2019 with my Rottweiler Missy,2 or 3 wall stiles on this walk although they have big steps on them which makes it easier to get dogs over.At waypoint 10 you need to dogleg right uphill first and then left downhill through the wood. The outward leg of this journey is better than the return,I would probably be tempted to do it the other way round, the view downstream from waypoint 4 is stunning
