We begin by walking back down the road we drove up to reach the walk board. From here we a have a long and delightful, easy, undulating ramble mostly through peaceful forest, heading south. Eventually we emerge into more open country and soon reach the spring of Fuentecillas. From here we have a wonderful rocky footpath beneath cliffs taking us down to the grassy area at the bottom of the canyon. We follow a track briefly before we turn off to begin a very strenuous climb up a rocky footpath until we reach a stunning plateau with Vultures and eagles circling in the sky above. What a spot! A little further on we join a wide track that will bring us to the Mirador Tio Cogote with spectacular panoramas. Following on, we soon leave the track and begin a wonderful forest footpath that undulates and meanders its way NW. Later a little wider track rambling before again we leave across country – care here, the marks are very faded - to reach a crest high above the village of Las Majadas. Now we only have to wend our way downwards to end this beautiful and memorable hike.
