After exploring the village, the walk goes inland before crossing over to the coast. The return route is lovely, through old woodland, before following the cliff path overlooking the estuary. This provides excellent birdwatching, particularly in the autumn and winter. There is a large information board listing birds normally seen here.

9/23/2015 - Angelique Stein

The waymark at point 6 is gone and as an earlier commenter already said, the stiles are overgrown with nettles and thorns. It is impossible to pass them. So we went back to the main road, and walked some further to a fingerpost halfway a wall on the left hand side. Pass the metal stile, up over a field to a next stile. After that one, keep on the right hand side of a field to find a double stile on the right. The path through the woods is very narrow and really steep, so it will be hard to walk this in wet conditions... But at the end of the path, you'll find a gravel road. Go left on this, it is theWelsh Coast Path. Always straight will bring you back into Laugharne.

7/9/2011 - Denize McIntyre

At point 6 in this walk, the path is getting close to impassable. The adjacent house is building a fence (3rd July 2011) which is likely to encroach even further. Very overgrown in some other places.
