Le Sincerneret - Pointe de la Turche - Chapelle de Jacquicourt - Le Sincerneret
An enchanting circuit of the ridges above Les Gets, with views across the entire region including Mont Blanc and a visit to a nature reserve.
Climbing steeply away from the car park at Le Sincerneret, a ridge on the outer edge of the Les Gets ski area is reached. The path passes some of the chairlift stations and a restaurant that is packed during the ski season but which you will probably find closed (it may open in the height of the summer season).
We now enter the nature reserve and follow another ridge, as superb views of the Mont Blanc massif open up. At the end of the ridge, after passing some tranquil ponds, the little chapel of Jacquicourt comes into view. This makes a great spot for a picnic.
The path drops down through mixed alpine woodland and comes out again at Les Clares, from where it is a short walk back to the car park.
Note that the route through the nature reserve is closed January 1st - May 15th.
