Le Talbooth - Langham - Essex Way - Stour Valley Path - Le Talbooth

Starting at or near a highly renowned restaurant in Stratford St Mary, you soon follow part of the Essex Way through parkland, past Langham Church and Hall, then onward, mainly on field-paths above the valley of the River Stour, until you reach Plumb's Farm. Here you leave the Essex Way to head north-westwards then east, using the Stour Valley Path for most of your return route.

Excellent walk. Perfect instructions. After asking permission, I parked at the Le Talbooth restaurant as you can't park outside Woodside anymore. But you can also park in Stratford St Mary just down the road from the restaurant. Plenty of spaces about.

A beautiful flat walk, well marked. Used a download to my mobile via ViewRanger, couldn't be simpler.

Hi all, The Stour Valley is a beautiful place and this walk by Brian & Anne complements it very well, following the very well signed Essex Way, and back along charming country lanes to pick up The Stour Valley Path, an excellent walk, very easy to follow, best wishes Peter.
