Starting in the quiet village of Leven, just north of Beverley, the first part of the walk follows the old Leven Canal to its junction with the River Hull. It then follows the river until picking up quiet country lanes to return to Leven.

The gate at point 2 is locked and you have to go around the side. After that between 2 and three is so overgrown we turned back. Possibly better walk in winter when everything has died back.
