From Limbrassac the route takes an old track known locally as the Chemin des Vignasses. to the hamlet of Cartiés. The name is a reminder that vines used to be grown in the area and on the walk you will see two old grape presses. From Cartiés the route follows an undulating track across fields and woodland to the village of St-Julien-Gras-Capou. From St-Julien-Gras-Capou you drop down to the Risseau de Mazeroles before climbing gently through woodland to the village of Troye d'Ariége. The route continues on a track through to the hamlet of St-Paul before returning down to Limbrassac along a country lane.
