Delightful, well-maintained paths circle the lakes of Linacre Reservoir. There are plenty of good views for photography. We start from the ranger post where toilets and hot hand-washing water will be found. Onward, we round the last lake and make our way through Canadian-style forest back to the top lake.

Leaving the beautiful lakeside scenery behind, we walk through meadows to Old Brampton. Crossing the road, we walk through a cultivated fruit-growing area, through a farm. A short lane takes us down a well-used but hemmed-in path to find a deep gorge eventually on the left. Crossing a ford and a stream, the path then takes us back into the Linacre Reservoir area.

Thrilling, to answer question posed. Lovely day lovely walk, the step style at waymark 8 has been replaced with a gate as are a few other styles along the route. We carried on at way mark 15 around the 'top lake' there is a newish boardwalk for most of the way & we just arrived back at the dam wall. We crossed back over the dam wall & continued as instructed. Great day out thanks again guys. Joyce Pentland

This is a lovely walk but point 4 becomes a mud slide during the wet season. Probably best kept for drier weather.
