The route is partly along the long-distance path Peddars Way; otherwise it follows tracks and field edges, with very short distances on country lanes to connect to the paths. The country lanes are very quiet ones. It is a 'wild' part of Norfolk, with no dwellings to be seen except in the village of Grimston and two or three along the one country lane. The day we did the walk we met no-one on route. There are long-distance views of the countryside and it is only the countryside you see, no dwellings. We saw plenty of skylarks, hares, pheasants and partridge; deer can also be spotted. All the paths are in good order and well signed.

Very enjoyable walk. The Post Office (WP9) offers rolls, pasties (hot if wanted), etc. We didn't find anywhere nearby to sit and eat them, however. The co-ordinates of WP11 appear to be wrong. Our sat-nav made us overshoot - when we returned to find what was clearly the path, the co-ordinates were TF 72995 22957.
