The ascent from Hollinworth Lake is very gradual and it ends on a stony track which traverses the edge of the moor before dropping very gradually. In fact, once Waymark 7 has been reached the walk is downhill. There are good views of the Pennines including Blackstone Edge, which is on the skyline for some time. The walk ends with a woodland section and a very attractive streamside path. I must confess though, that none of this first drew me to the walk - who could resist a name like Benny Hill, which is just above Syke Farm? It really exists!

A great walk with brilliant views. Be careful some of the sign posts have fallen down.

Great stroll, reached the top, turned and was astonished by the view. Very lakeland. Worth a go if time is short, took us an hour and a quarter fairly steady.
