From Llandyrnog the walk goes through the rich pastures of the Vale of Clwyd, just far enough above the river to avoid its endemic flooding. A steady climb gives access to a traverse along the flanks of the Clwydian range to the old church of Llangwyfan.

11/7/2013 - Robert Hughes

This is very good walk with excellent views. The directions are easy to follow. However at WM 8 the first yellow arrow is almost completely obscured. It is on the left just before emerging onto a track. Keep on the track for 50m before seeing the next marker post off to the left. In the wood after WM 13 the fallen trees are no longer an obstacle (just one low level trunk) and the path whilst not very distinct is easy to follow. At WM 20 the building work is now almost complete with the path passing close to the right of the property. On your second visit to WM 28 there are several new gates and fences so keep an eye on the map to emerge in the right direction.

11/5/2005 - Henry Jarman

As of 31/05/2005 the track at No20 along side house is closed. The footpath is now to the right of the original and is waymarked with a yellow arrow. Keep the hedge on your left up to the corner of the field where there is a stile upto the lane.
