The Monnow Valley Walk has been produced in book form by Ira and Harry Steggles and traces the River Monnow from Monmouth to Hay-on-Wye. On this walk we follow part of it on the outward route before returning across Cupid's Hill, re-joining the River Monnow and following the riverbank back to Llangua.

Enjoyed this walk today. The metal bridge mentioned at point 6 has been taken down. A local resident told us that the Council said it was unsafe and they cannot afford to replace it. The river was low and we paddled across, otherwise we would have needed to make a very lengthy detour.
