This is a high, open moorland walk giving extensive views of Loch Skiach. If walked in August or September the heather is at its best. A short trail through the heather joins a good Land-Rover track. This takes you down past a bird reserve and a beautiful, unnamed loch with a charming boathouse, to rejoin the outward route.

An easily managed venture into some remote country with enough variety of terrain and scenery to keep it interesting. There is a magnificent view across the Tay valley on the return section.
