Our walk starts on the outskirts of Lockton, but doesn't visit the village immediately. Instead, we drop to the delightful wooded valley of Levisham Beck. After briefly climbing out of and then dropping back into, the valley, we finally climb up onto Levisham Moor at Dundale Pond.
Our next stop-off is at the very pretty village of Levisham and potentially a break at the Horseshoe Inn, before heading over the wooded valley to our next village - Lockton.
Whilst there's no pub in Lockton, there is a very nice tea room (The Pantry at Waymark 15).
Dog-walkers please note the possible presence of livestock at the start of the walk. Please also control your dog on Levisham Moor to protect ground-nesting birds.
