See the amazing London skyline from one of the highest points in London, easily accessible by train, bus or car (M25). Havering-atte-Bower is 344 feet above sea level and is surrounded by three large parks. You can see on the distant skyline The Gherkin, Millenium Dome, St Paul's Cathedral and Canary Wharf. This is a circular, easy walk with no hills, from the lovely, historic Havering-atte-Bower and through the nice houses of Stapleford Abbots and back, with views of London while walking in countryside much of the way!

The route offers the walker countryside, views and animals on a smallholding passed en route including pigs, geese, an aviary of small, colourful birds, all in their own enclosures which the footpath passes between! There is a snack van near the riding stable (we could smell bacon butties, but we did not have time to partake!) You also pass the memorial for PC Gutteridge, 1927.

There are lots of blackberries to be picked in the hedges during the right season!
