This walk can be split into two sections with two high points as follows:
Section 1) First 'Highs' and 'Lows'. It starts in the village of Loveclough, which has easy access for both driving and public transport. It climbs up to the heights above Rossendale using part of the Rossendale Way. There are excellent views all around towards Yorkshire, Blackburn, Accrington and across the Rossendale Valley. On a clear day it might be possible to see Blackpool Tower and the Lake District. Other landmarks to look out for are Pendle Hill, Jubilee Tower (Darwen) which can be seen as a small blob sitting on the top of a hill, Peel Tower and the wind turbines, Scout Moor on the left and Oswaldtwistle Moor on the right. It drops down into Stonefold Village via a small ravine and farm tracks, then past an equestrian centre.
Section 2) Second 'Highs' and 'Lows'. After passing the equestrian centre the walk continues across several fields, over a small stream and through some woodland. After the woodland the walk proceeds along farm tracks and around the nose of Cribden Hill before descending to Goodshaw, passing through a pet cemetery. The final low section follows the path of Limey Water back to the start point.
