The walk begins in Lower Fishguard where the River Gwaun runs into the sea. Allow time here for some birdwatching, as the estuary attracts a variety of birds. There are toilets in the car park on the west of the bridge. After climbing to join the coast path, the route stays on the clifftop until heading across fields and dropping down again into Lower Fishguard.
