The walk starts beside the beach at Lower Largo, taking you through the lovely seaside town before heading into a wooded valley now looked after by The Woodland Trust. The wooded valley takes you to the ruins of Pitcruvie Castle and eventually to the foot of Largo Law; here you can make an optional detour to the top. After that, walk through Upper Largo, along Largo Burn back to the start.

It's possible to do the walk without climbing Largo Law.

The walk is potentially muddy underfoot after rain and any attempt to climb Largo Law after heavy rain is probably foolhardy, as the ascent will be hard work and the descent very difficult.
