The walk starts from the church (St Michael's and All Angels) at Loxbeare. It then takes to the fields to Leigh Barton and then down to the ford (now bridged) at East Sidborough. It next follows a track up towards Kitterbury but turns left towards Hill Farm. A bridleway now takes us up to a metalled minor road and across to Calverleigh Cross. Further road-work to Withleigh Cross to turn to access Bradleigh Down and on to the hamlet of Frogwell. A little more road-walking follows and then it's into the fields again to a minor road which takes you back towards Leigh Barton, thence to Fulford for the final leg of the route, mostly across fields and so back to the start.

Church, Great Views
10/25/2015 - Barry Hood

A great little walk with some excellent views. To extend the walk, instead of turning left at WP5 continue ahead along the road and when you pass the radio mast and take the 2nd footpath/bridleway until you reach a crossing. Turn left and continue all the way down a sunken track and merge onto a road. after approx 100 yards you will reach Calverleigh Church on your right. There is a nice bench in the graveyard where you can rest up for a banana and a cuppa whilst admiring the view of the (very deep) pond. Carry on along the road and when you reach the main junction, cross it and bear slightly left down towards Lurley (what a great name for a village) where you will cross a Ford and ascend up the road to Lurley where you turn left (look for the signpost for Lurley Manor) and continue ahead to pick up WP8.
