This walk follows a popular route that visits Ledcrieff Loch, then climbs gently through woodland and along the clifftop path of Lundie Craigs. From the trig point a less-walked route follows the ridge north-east to visit the Meridian Monument. This monument lies directly south of Kinpurnie Castle, which once housed an observatory. Leaving the monument, a rough grass path contours above Long Loch, which is home to many waterfowl. This path links up with the main path leading down from Lundie Craigs and follows a flat but sometimes boggy route back through the valley to Ledcrieff Loch to rejoin the outward route.

Thanks Mike. What a lovely walk. Nobody has mentioned the stunning views from Lundie Crags, achieved with a relatively small amount of climbing. A camera is as necessary as are walking boots.

Excellent guide notes and accurate time estimate, can be a little boggy in parts - waterproof boots recommended.
