The walk starts and ends at Lunt Meadows Nature Reserve which is a recently created wetland built as part of a flood management scheme. It consists of a number of lakes and ponds with associated hides, so binoculars could prove useful. The end of the walk from Waypoint 15 takes a direct route though the reserve but it would be worthwhile to deviate from this in order to explore. Information boards at start contain map of reserve. According to objects found whilst developing the reserve the flood plane was occupied 9000 years ago and is still a popular spot.

Walked route to check directions. Map and GPX accurate. Checked specific waypoints waypoint 05 left unchanged, it states 'follow disused rail track' As it is 2m wide and clearly bounded be hedges there is no need to deviate off route unless searching for inspiration. waypoint 8 updated to Takes bridge South over the Alt. Continue South on footpath. Waypoint 13 added Bare left at Freshfields Animal Rescue onto East Lane.

You need to ignore several side tracks between #5 and #6. At #9, do not turn right after bridge, steps down are straight ahead. Between #9 and #10 there are now 3 wooden bridges; cross the first one, turn right after the second one but do not cross the third one; instead, walk towards coppice with dyke on your right. Between #13 and #14 the road forks; leave Park Wall Road and take a left onto East Lane. Between #4 and #14 the walk is uninspiring. Dogs to be kept on leads within the nature reserve.
