My friend and I did this walk in April 2011. We found it to be a lovely walk. The only thing we didn't find was the lonely seat as we were looking forward to the view via a seat. Apart from that I would recommend it to any walker.

In response to Martin Wood's feedback this walk has been walked and some minor updates added. Please always remember to take the WALKINGWORLD MAP with you. From wm 19 ignore the new water pipe construction work and continue close to the stream for half a mile before taking the right turn to wm 20. Thank you to Nicholas Rudd-Jones.

We enjoyed this very much. You need 4 hours at a very good pace. I would be tempted to say it was longer than 8.8 miles. There were two places we became a little confused... Loved the walk but very tired. Martin and Penny Wood

This was a very enjoyable walk, well described. We stayed at Bridge Cottage (www.bridgecottage.net) which we would highly recommend. Fabulous hosts, very walker friendly, superb breakfast and very, very comfortable rooms.

Excellent walk, just an addition for those who don't like carrying food, there are a lot of cafes, tea shops and pubs in Uppingham!
