From the start at the Running Horses Inn, the route follows the towpath north to Jackson's Bridge, with many colourful canal-boats moored along the far bank. From here a lane and fields lead to the old Cheshire Lines Railway, now a footpath and bridleway. A further lane and fields lead back to the inn.

Wheelchair users can adapt this walk by taking the road from Waymark 5 and turning right to join the Cheshire Lines Path.

Walked 25/01/20. Thanks to Jim G for another excellent walk and very easy navigation. Whilst Jackson Bridge at WP 03 is easy to recognise the bridge number is 19. WP 05 - The waymarking is not as clear now as it may have been one time but it is still easy to navigate around the field. WP 13 the plank bridge gas been replaced by a metal bridge.

1/1/2008 - Thomas Jones

Did this walk on 1/1/2008: no problems at all. As usual with Jim Grindle's walks the navigation was straightforward and easy. A big thank you to Jim from me and the wife.
