This truly is a very enjoyable walk, the paths excellent. The route is mostly through forestry tracks, passing Lynford Hall and lakes, where bramblings and hawfinches can be seen, plus many other birds. The walk continues along a very quiet country lane to the pretty village of Mundford, where the Crown Hotel welcomes you and has a fine menu. The return journey is entirely along forest tracks.

A nice walk through Thetford Forest. Some points to consider. There is a big fence around the cottage at Point 5 so its very easy to miss the turn. If you proceed and see a large metal barrier to the left you have gone too far. The church is very well hidden but well worth looking for, it is very much built in the middle of nowhere and deep in the forest.
