Shutlingsloe is one of the highest points in Cheshire. This walk will take you up through Macclesfield Forest with views of the reservoirs below, then over Shutlingsloe and on a clear day you will have views of the Cheshire Plain and the famous radio telescope dish of Jodrell Bank below. Descend Shutlingsloe through sloping fields and farmland and then back up to Macclesfield Forest Church, finally returning down through the forest and alongside Trentabank Reservoir to reach your starting point.

Definitely NOT dog friendly. All the stiles except the last one (WM06) have been replaced by kissing gates or a metal gate.

Completed this walk 17th March 2014. I combined it with walk 419 to make it a bit more interesting, by combining it with this walk it turned into a more memorable walk especially the climb up to Shutlingsloe with its magnificent 360 degree views. Jim's directions were fairly easy to follow. Excellent day out really enjoyed it..
